Race report - 2010 Worlds

Well the Worlds have now been and gone.
Got there early.
Pre-rode the course once, twice, 3 times.
All good.
Nothing to fear here.
Some parts were tough.
Some not so much.
But all rideable.
All ready, set and go.
But sometimes things dont work out how you see them in your mind.
Sometimes your wheels dont grip.
Sometimes they slip.
Results may vary but my slip led to a twist.
This twist led to pain which in turn led to an inability to pedal.
8 laps in and I called it a day.
I was not the first and definitely not the last to finish prior to the alloted time.
Talk is that next year is Europe's turn.
Hmmmmmmm...

Many, many props to Rach and Nick for their 2 excellent results and to each and every person in the Koiled pit area who went out of their way to help every one of our riders when they came in.
Now when is that next race?!?!?!?!

That's a bummer about the fall. Hope you are recovering well. What was Rach's final placing?

where'd ya come off mate? plenty of ditches on that course. Fast, relatively techy descents, tired heads arsehole canucks who can't pass on single track and jumping rocks at 2am...

Not *disappointing* TR. A fecking amazing journey of to get there, qualify for there and be there. That in itself is complete mindfulness, absolute power, let alone the physical endurance and ability. You have proven to be a very competent and disciplined athlete.....right on! Ok disapointing in terms of desired outcomes....but yeah, as Jaman says........ real proud of you crazy cats! Miff ;-)
