This is my plan.
Just ride.
No "training".
That just makes it sound like work.
Riding is not work.
Work is work.
Riding is fun.
Riding is escape.
Riding is time to unwind.
If escaping and unwinding leads to work that is OK.
But to look for work?
Un-fun work?
Meh.
So if you see me out there and I look like I am not having fun.
Kick my ass and send me home.
Recent rides have been structured with this in mind.
Solo Bunyaville.
Bunya - Ironbark maiden voyage for Robbie
Coffee ride with Spennie
No un-fun-ness was had at any time and yet my legs still hurt and my lungs were still worked.
I call that a win - win.
Ride safe.

TR; You know one of my mantras/beliefs with the cycling is, Not Fun Not Done. Of course this is why I am known to randomly go *dark* off my roadie training and roll in the forest with my MTB now and again. Ok, frequently! So, yes, Just Ride, can be just the ointment/tonic. Sooooo, Just Ride OK! Miff
